Mad Men - Deep Mine 8618
Louis de Poortere Mad Men - Deep Mine 8618
A new design for the Mad Men collection. It shows a surface of cracked ice, as on the ice rink of Rockefeller Square.
It also represents the world below the surface, the deep blue of the abyss, the darkness of the mineshaft with the lode of gold at the bottom, or the far corners of a pinewood forest.
The Madison men were the golden boys of the sixties, who "dreamed up" the images of the iconic brands of the USA. Inspired by this theme, De Poortere has created a new collection of "Vintage sixties" rugs.
A mix of straight and broken lines, of dull and shining yarns, of smooth and ragged pencil strokes.
Over a century of skill and craftsmanship is woven into every rug we produce. Woven on jacquard Wilton looms in a combination of pure new wool and cotton chenille, each beautiful rug has multiple layers of texture, distressed areas and intricate stitching detail to give a true ‘vintage’ look.
Woven in a fashionable flat weave construction, all our rugs are hand finished with reinforced corners and an anti-slip layer for a secure fit. There is a superb choice of sizes available too, as each rug is woven in 7 standard sizes ranging from 60 cm x 90 cm up to 280 cm x 360 cm, ensuring there is a size just right for every room in the home. The medallion design is available in 11 different colours from the Fading World Collection.
